Few days ago, I was on a guiding assignment and stumbled upon this lovely female flycatcher. Obviously, I can't spend much time concentrating on this bird when I had to fulfill my obligation to find more birds for my guest. So, after completing my assignment, I revisited the spot and managed to get a few snap shots of this migrant here in Kuala Lumpur.

This spot was not the best for doing any photography when you are alone, so I decided just to bring the Nikon 70-200mm VR1. All the shots were taken handheld. No tripod.

Believe me, it was not always easy to get the bird to perch at the branch as it prefers to stay deep in the bush that provided more privacy. There was also a male bird nearby, well not too far away but I rather not go and wait as I had other appointments to attend to. Maybe next season.
